Daniel Kaplan, DO

Daniel Kaplan, PT, DO, is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee arthritis, fractures and traumatic injuries at AdventHealth Parker Hospital . He performs direct anterior hip replacements, robotic-assisted total knee replacements and fracture surgery.

Dr. Kaplan earned his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Robert Wood Johnson Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, New Jersey. He completed his fellowship in orthopedic trauma at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado. Dr. Kaplan also earned a Master of Science in physical therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

When away from his practice, Dr. Kaplan enjoys resident education, traveling, cooking, spending time outdoors, and spending time with his wife, three children and two Vizslas.

Dr. Kaplan engages with a multi-disciplinary team approach that involves the patient in all decision-making. He works collaboratively with other professionals to design the best patient-specific care plan. He takes pride in the quality of care he provides, and it brings him joy to be able to return function to patients.
