40 Days of Prayer at Manchester Memorial Hospital
By Chaplain Mark
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
At Manchester Memorial Hospital, we began our journey of 40 days of prayer on February 2nd 2018, to better deliver our mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ to our community. As a believer, I know how important it is to share our plans with God. He is in charge of the universe and He has time to listen to our every need! Therefore, we will begin this journey to bring everything to God in prayer, said Erika Skula, CEO/President of MMH at the kick off event.
As an organization, we wanted to bring our focus to God in prayer. During the first service, we were blessed to host Dr. Rupert Bushner at our facility, who not only engaged the associates in a most uplifting devotion, but Mrs. Bushner also blessed us with her beautiful singing.
Each morning at 8:15am, associates would gather in the Chapel Monday through Friday, while others would call in remotely as well. These prayers continued on Saturdays and Sundays also, via the call-in number. Associates from across the facility, our C-Suite and the Spiritual Ambassadors participated towards leading the prayers each day.
We concluded our 40 days of prayer on March 13th, 2018 with a word of prayer from Dr. Bushner, and with him encouraging us to have a closer relationship with our Lord and Savior, and for us, as children of God, to let Him be the pilot of our lives instead the co-pilot; for our jobs are our calling in which God uses us for His glory, to be a blessing to others.
We are truly blessed to work in an organization that encourages prayer in our work lives. Lets take this opportunity and invite Christ to lead us every step of the way!
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
