AdventHealth Kissimmee expansion
KISSIMMEE, Fla., Apr. 1, 2024 — Today AdventHealth Kissimmee opened a new floor in its patient tower, a $12.3 million expansion that includes new rooms and increases the ability to provide crucial services for residents in Osceola County.
The approximately 30,400-square-foot expansion adds 40 private patient rooms, bringing the campus licensed bed count to 282 and creating approximately 100 new high-paying jobs.

“This investment illustrates our ongoing commitment to the health of the Kissimmee community,” said Sheila Rankin, CEO of AdventHealth Kissimmee. “We are dedicated to providing whole person care close to home for the growing population of Osceola County in the years to come.”
Rapid population growth has contributed to the need for additional capacity at the campus, and the additional beds will allow the hospital to serve more patients seeking medical and surgical care in Osceola County.
“As part of our mission, we strive to provide care in a convenient location close to home,” said Dr. Dennis deLeon, chief medical officer for AdventHealth Kissimmee. “Emotional support and the presence of a loved one are beneficial for the healing process during a hospital stay.”
This project is the latest in a series of improvements on the campus, going back to the expanded emergency room that opened in 2014, followed by the original patient tower in 2015.
