AdventHealth Medical Group Welcomes New Family Medicine Physician

July 24, 2019 — Hendersonville, NC (July 24, 2019) — AdventHealth Medical Group Family Medicine at Mills River welcomes Cynthia Logan, MD. Dr. Logan is board-certified in family medicine and is excited to care for her patients through whole-person care.

Dr. Logan earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology/premed and Doctor of Medicine from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has more than 24 years of direct patient care ranging from the most rural of family practice setting to urgent care.

Prior to medical school, Dr. Logan did research in cognitive neuroscience at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she taught a senior undergraduate course in scientific writing. She is a previous recipient of the National Science Foundation Merit Fellowship for Graduate Research and has been recognized by UNC Chapel Hill for “Outstanding Teaching” in an award based upon student course evaluations.

Dr. Logan is happy to be back in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, where she was born. “I feel honored to have been entrusted with caring for the patients at AdventHealth Medical Group Family Medicine at Mills River and know that I am very lucky to have Shannon Garren, CMA and Michelle Lyda, CMA, working with me.”

Dr. Logan and her husband have three children and many pets, and she loves time shared with her family. She enjoys running, hiking, biking, reading, board games and everything outdoors. When asked what makes her “feel whole”, she responded, “I find wholeness when I am out in nature. Also, I find healing and wholeness whenever I am able to contribute in a positive way to someone’s physical and/or mental well-being.”
