AdventHealth has named Kristen Sutton as chief nursing officer (CNO) at AdventHealth Palm Coast and AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway, effective Jan. 28.
The role will serve AdventHealth’s Flagler/St. Johns market and will have operational oversight for both hospitals in Flagler County.
With 20 years of nursing experience, Sutton brings a wealth of knowledge in executive nursing, administration, quality improvement, clinical care coordination, training, and leadership development.
Sutton currently serves as the chief nursing officer and vice president for Texas Health Hospital Mansfield, a joint venture between Texas Health Resources and AdventHealth. Prior, she served in nursing leadership roles for critical care services at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel and provided patient care as a registered nurse at AdventHealth Zephyrhills and Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
Underscoring her commitment to clinical excellence, Sutton is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Leaders, Texas Organization for Nursing Leadership, American Nurses Association, and American College of Healthcare Executives. She also serves as an executive board member for the Mansfield Mission Center and a board member for the Linda Nix Clinic, which helps to serve uninsured community members in need.
“I value people and relationships first. I am most excited to meet our team members,” said Sutton. “I look forward to seeing what opportunities exist to volunteer in the Palm Coast community.”
