AdventHealth Hendersonville is proud to recognize 56 dedicated nurses who have participated in the AdventHealth Nursing Professional Excellence Program (PEP). During Nurses Week 2024, AdventHealth Hendersonville hosted a Tea Party Breakfast and Pinning Ceremony to honor the hard work and commitment to excellence these nurses have demonstrated by going above and beyond in their professional development.
The AdventHealth Nursing Professional Excellence Program (PEP) is a systemwide clinical ladder designed to provide nurses with the opportunity to achieve their career goals. This program provides a framework that supports the professional growth of nurses in the following areas:
- Education
- Clinical Achievements
- Professional Growth
- Evidence-Based Practice and Research
- Leadership
- Exemplary Self-Care
The clinical ladder consists of four levels of certification. The nurses that achieved these various levels of certification demonstrate a level of expertise within their field. In order to obtain these varied levels of certification, nurses must pass a rigorous exam process to prove their knowledge within a specific field of nursing. This program engages nurses and recognizes them for their knowledge, skill and continued professional development as they progress through the levels.
“This year, we were able to recognize 56 nurses who hold at least one national certification, with several nurses holding more than one national certification,” said Fionna Phillips, MSN, RN, NE-BC, RNC-NIC, AdventHealth Hendersonville Nursing Excellence Program Manager. “These nurses deserve to be celebrated for their accomplishments and they really appreciated the chance to be recognized for their achievements during our honoree breakfast and pinning ceremony.”

The AdventHealth Nursing Professional Excellence Program is an opportunity to empower nurses in their career and support their professional growth. AdventHealth Hendersonville is grateful for these dedicated nurses that continually strive to improve their practice and provide the highest quality of patient care. Thank you for your continued hard work and commitment to excellence!
