Gartner, Inc. has released its 15th annual Gartner Healthcare Supply Chain Top 25 ranking, which recognizes U.S. health systems that demonstrate leadership in supply chain. AdventHealth ranked No. 3 in 2023, moving up from the No. 6 spot in 2022.
The national recognition reflects AdventHealth’s supply chain achievements and leadership in advancing digital initiatives, developing intentional talent strategies and building antifragile capabilities. It also is a reflection of the many measures the health care system has taken to ensure the continuity of its supply chain so that team members have what they need to provide exceptional whole-person care to patients.
“Our supply chain teams are constantly identifying opportunities and implementing innovative strategies to drive the growth of our organization,” said Marisa Farabaugh, chief supply chain officer for AdventHealth. “This recognition is a testament to our commitment toward spearheading future-forward initiatives that focus on improved technology, talent development, risk management, clinical alignment and innovation while placing our patients at the core of everything we do.”
Published with the ranking is a report highlighting three major focus themes across health system supply chains: building digital supply chains, attracting and retaining talent, and developing an antifragile supply chain.
“We’re embracing new technology, providing career growth opportunities for our team members, and prioritizing initiatives to build supply chain resilience to reduce costs and drive efficiency in our ever-evolving supply chain world,” Farabaugh said. “I am incredibly proud of our team's hard work and dedication. This important work would not be possible without them.”
