Fla., — AdventHealth University announces the appointment of Juli Daniels to its faculty as Dean of Nursing, beginning Aug. 16, 2022. Daniels will oversee the bachelor’s degree in nursing programs at AdventHealth University Denver, AdventHealth University Online and AdventHealth University Orlando as well as the online master’s degree in nursing program.
“We look forward to Dr. Daniels sharing her passion for developing nurses who display uncommon compassion and practice health care as ministry,” said Edwin I. Hernandez, president and CEO of AdventHealth University. “We are confident she will skillfully lead our undergraduate and graduate nursing programs, ushering in an era of continued growth, collaboration and innovation in nursing and nursing education.”
In addition to overseeing the bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, Daniels will help establish a high-demand associate degree in nursing at AHU to begin in 2023 and transition AHU’s nurse practitioner degree to a doctoral program. Daniels will play a vital role in implementing a robust nursing growth strategy to triple nursing student enrollment over the next five years, amid a critical nursing shortage in Florida.
“I am passionate about creating multiple ways to earn a nursing degree and become a nurse,” Daniels said. “I look forward to advancing the nursing profession to extend the mission of AHU.”
Daniels earned her licensed practical nursing degree at Owensboro School for Practical Nursing, her associate and bachelor’s degrees in nursing from the University of Evansville, her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Kentucky and her doctoral degree in Nursing from the University of South Florida. Daniels most recently served as president and CEO of Global Healthcare Consultants and as adjunct faculty at Loyola University. She is recognized for building strong collaborations between academia and industry partners and leading across academic units to ensure university success.
