The Orlando Business Journal, a regional publication that covers business news and major events in Orlando and greater Central Florida, has named Adventist Health System's (AHS) Altamonte Springs corporate campus one of the area's Coolest Office Spaces.
The honor recognizes the Orlando-area's most innovative, modern, sustainable and impressive workplaces. Adventist Health System is one of only 23 companies out of hundreds of nominations to receive the award, and the only health care company to be listed among the honorees.
In describing Adventist Health System's recognition, the Orlando Business Journal noted how the corporate campus blends mission-focused messaging and visuals, such as the large cross on the side of the Headquarters building and statues that demonstrate the works of Christ at the Healing at Bethesda, with modern innovations like a sound-masking system that eliminates noise in open areas and a replica of a patient room in the Solutions Center that is used for process testing.
At roughly 1 million square feet in size, the corporate campus features four buildings: Headquarters, Solutions Center, the newly opened AHS Design Center and a fourth building, which is currently under construction and set to open in May. Adventist Health System's corporate campus is the primary workspace for more than 2,000 corporate services employees who support the organization's 46 hospital campuses across nine states, and a continuum of care that also includes physician practices, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies and hospice centers.
Several Adventist Health System corporate services employees attended a reception to accept the award presented by the Orlando Business Journal. Adventist Health System was also profiled by the publication and featured in several online articles about the Coolest Office Spaces distinction.
