Chris Self, president and CEO of AdventHealth Gordon and AdventHealth Murray, has been named on Becker's Hospital Review’s 2024 “Community Hospital CEOs to Know” list.
This list recognizes CEOs of community hospitals for their efforts in providing coordinated and affordable care, encompassing acute care, primary care, rehabilitation, public health services and more.
“I am extremely honored and humbled to be named on Becker’s Community Hospital CEOs to Know List,” Self said.” I am blessed to serve alongside outstanding teams at AdventHealth Gordon and AdventHealth Murray. Their commitment to caring for our communities and living our mission inspire me daily.”
Self has been serving in his tenure as president and CEO for AdventHealth Gordon and AdventHealth Murray since December of 2021. Prior to AdventHealth Gordon and AdventHealth Murray, he served as president and CEO at AdventHealth Manchester for two-and-a-half years, where he expanded multiple service lines and outreach clinics and increased focus on community and economic development for the region.
At AdventHealth Gordon and AdventHealth Murray, Self has led significant expansion in the cancer care services as well as the opening of AdventHealth Medical Group Cardiology at Calhoun, which brought much-needed cardiology services to Gordon County. Additionally, Self has overseen growth in Murray and Whitfield Counties with the addition of several key services and points of care.
These leaders are honored for their dedication to improving community health, shaping workforce culture, planning for the future, expanding hospital services and maintaining financial stability. Becker's Healthcare is thrilled to feature the accomplishments of these leaders, who are critical to the successes of their respective organizations.
The Becker's Hospital Review editorial team accepted nominations to compile this list. The full list features individual profiles of all CEOs and can be read here.
