Gordon Hospital is hosting its annual CREATION Life Farmers Market every Thursday from 5 to 7 pm through August 18th. Located on the hospital campus, the Farmers Market is an event that allows for organically grown foods to be more accessible.
The mission of the CREATION Life Farmers Market is to provide an outlet for local farmers and producers to sell their goods to the community, educate consumers about the benefits of eating fresh and locally grown foods, and to further the CREATION Life message of improving ones physical, mental, and spiritual well being.
The market promotes the sale and purchase of agricultural products such as fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers, grains, nuts, seeds, canned goods, and potted plants. Farmers also sell natural products derived of animals including cheese, honey, and eggs. Meat is sold at the market as well, all of which is organically grown and free of hormones. Value-added agricultural products are available for purchase and include naturally processed jams, jellies, salsas, oils, and vinegars homemade by vendors. Non-agricultural products for sale include baked goods, beverages, and handmade arts and crafts such as artwork and pottery.
In addition to healthy foods, the CREATION Life Farmers Market has live music and entertainment each evening, creating an atmosphere for community fellowship.
