Alexa Hernandez has been named AdventHealth Murray's latest Sonshine Award recipient.
Hernandez, chaplain at AdventHealth Murray, received several nominations from her coworkers who said the following:
“Alexa portrays a professional presence, and she always extends the healing ministry of Christ. She’s constantly there for people, and she is the epitome of kindness, positivity and unconditional love. Alexa is a calm and reassuring presence that welcomes everyone, and we are extremely lucky to have her here at AdventHealth Murray.”
“Every time she is on our floor, she goes to check in on the patients. It truly comforts them and helps to make their families feel better. She is extraordinary, and we appreciate the love and compassion she gives all of us.”
The SonShine Award was established by AdventHealth Murray and AdventHealth Gordon in 2017 to honor the hard work and dedication of its employees. Quarterly awards provide opportunities for patients, visitors and other team members to recognize and reward team members for exceptional accomplishments and demonstrated behaviors that are aligned to the mission, vision and values of AdventHealth.
The name SonShine was developed by AdventHealth Murray and AdventHealth Gordon team members. The recipients of the SonShine award “shine” for the “Son” of God through their warm and comforting care they provide to patients and their fellow employees.
