Land O Lakes, FL (January 25, 2018) There is a population boom in Pasco County, and Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel is expanding its health care services to reach the growing number of residents moving into the area. The hospital is opening Florida Hospital ER Central Pasco, a new Emergency Room, on Monday, January 29th, located offsite from the hospital on State Road 54 just east of the Suncoast Parkway.
Construction began last spring on the 18,000 square-foot facility that features a year-round full-service emergency department with 24 beds and state of the art on-site imaging such as x-ray, ultrasound, CT scans and onsite laboratory services. The new emergency room is staffed with board-certified emergency medicine physicians as well as nurses who specialize in emergency care.
Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel will also offer ambulance services for patients who come to the Florida Hospital Central Paso ER and need to be admitted to the hospital. The paramedics and EMTs on board will be Florida Hospital team members who will be able to provide comprehensive, continuous care to patients as they are transferred.
As the community grows, we are committed to add new health care services and facilities to better meet the needs of the community, said Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel President and CEO Denyse Bales-Chubb. Our new Central Pasco Emergency Room, located separately from Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel, offers the same level of critical care found at our hospital and its in a convenient location for residents of central Pasco and northwestern Hillsborough County, said Bales-Chubb.
The community celebration and Grand Opening event at Florida Hospital ER Central Pasco is Sunday, January 28th, from 12 pm to 3 pm at the ER located at 16625 State Road 54, Land O'Lakes, 34638. Residents can tour the facility and enjoy family-friendly activities, along with food and entertainment. The event is free but attendees should pre-register at tinyurl.com/FHCentralPascoER.
