Biography

Dolor Akpore, DO, is a board-certified addiction medicine physician who earned his medical degree from AT Still University in Kirksville, MO. Dr. Akpore completed a residency in family medicine at AdventHealth East Orlando and a fellowship in addiction medicine at the University of Florida at Gainesville. Since 2018, Dr. Akpore has been a general medicine contractor working for the U.S. Army, where he has directed medical operations for the Continental US and Africa. He also performs addiction-focused evaluations for adults. He has worked closely with senior-level military management providing medical care including substance abuse prevention, mental health education, and acute care to service members across multiple US Army components and is a decorated war veteran.

Personal Interests

During his free time, he enjoys diving, medical missions and military medicine.

Care Philosophy

My care philosophy has always been to treat all patients as if they were my own family. I think this is the definition of practicing family medicine.
